At approx 1258 hours on Sunday March 1st, the structure fire assignment was struck for the 700 block of Tuckerton Ave. Asst Chief LaFaver responding with smoke showing added an additional Ladder for extra manpower without needing to add an entire 2nd alarm. Crews arrived and found heavy fire conditions on the C/D corner of a 3 story semidetached. Fire consumed the porch / roof and kitchen. E11 arrived and stretched a line into the front door while others secured a supply line and stretched a 2nd line that was later used. The fire was quickly contained with some extensive overhaul work. Fire Marshals were on scene trying to figure out the cause.
Stations on scene were:
11, 10, 13, 12, 25, 45, 85, 37 & 560.
Thanks to all that came out and helped.
We were back in service by 1600 hours.
