For those Muhlenberg Township residents that submitted information regarding damages sustained during the August 2nd & 4th storms, please see the information below addressing an update that was provided to the Township from Berks County Emergency Services:
The information collected by the Muhlenberg Township Emergency Management Coordinator in August was submitted to Berks County Emergency Services and forwarded to the State, PEMA. PEMA has reviewed the submissions and has determined that the total loss for the state regarding the storm damages has met the threshold necessary to qualify for federal funding.
The federal government (FEMA) is reviewing the submissions from PEMA to determine what funding resources may become available at their level. Once they have a determination the township will do our best to provide the information and links provided on our webpages and social media outlets for our residents to follow up with the appropriate agency.
