12/31 around 8:45am the MTFR and auto aid partners were dispatched to the Lowes on Madison Avenue for a reported structure fire. Crews arrived on scene and found a trash compactor to the rear of the building that was on fire. A small fire was located within the trash compactor and was extinguished in a few minutes. Crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes before returning.
