The official launch date for the new Muhlenberg Township Fire & Rescue has been set to go LIVE May 15th, 2020. It has been a long anticipated venture that the staff has been getting very excited for.
After several months of plannings and meetings it’s deemed good to go.
The Township commissioners back in 2019 hired a part time Fire Chief to oversee the operations and the merger of the Temple Fire Co and the Goodwill Fire Company combining the two make a fierce all in one department. Larry Moyer jr was hired to take on this task. He helped push our way and move us into the right direction.
Bi-Laws have been established and the command staff was created.
The membership is ready to go and get this started as it is a new beginning for everyone. The staff is psyched!!
We have always had three firehouses in Muhlenberg and will continue to operate out of the same three. So everyone can rest assure that they will be getting the same responses, just with a new name.
