Gauker will be laid to rest with Fire Department Honors
All Department Personnel attending the services and wake following shall report to HQs no later than 1100hrs. on Monday the 24th
Supporting Department and Agencies lining the procession route or attending the graveside services:
Those lining the procession route be in place by 1215hrs.
Required Attire (MTFR Members – Supporting Agencies follow your specific policy)
Class A uniform (for those with such)
Class B uniform (for those with such)
Department issued long-sleeved T-Shirt, Plain front blue work pants, Black belt, Plain toed black polished shoes, department issued jacket, navy blue winter hat – if choosing to wear such (for those without the other two listed options)
E66-3 and CHF 66 shall report to Klee Funeral Home – Departure time: 1130hrs. from HQs
E3 will have the pallbearers on board

E66-3 will lead the funeral procession from Klee Funeral Home to Good Shepard Cemetery for the 1300hr services
The path of travel of the procession
Start – Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
1 E Lancaster Ave, Shillington, PA 19607
Get on US-222 N in Spring Township from US-222 BUS S and PA-724 W
Follow US-222 N and PA-12 E to N 11th St in Muhlenberg Township. Take the 11th Street exit from PA-12 E
Head north on Kutztown Rd toward Mount Laurel Rd
Turn left onto Leesport Ave
Turn left at the 1st cross street onto Tuckerton Ave
Follow Tuckerton to the gravesite
Ladder Arches – Chiefs Andrew LaFaver (DEP66-1) & Christian Murray (DEP66-2) will be in charge of the overall organization/logistic details of the arch sites
1st Arch – L66 & L64 – TBD
Captain Jeffrey Gilbert will be in charge of the detail and calling cadence
2nd Arch – (T45 & L12) – TBD
Lt. Scott Levan will be in charge of the detail and calling cadence
Department Headquarters will have Personnel assigned to Honor Gauker on the ramp of the station – Lt. Chad Reidnauer in charge of the detail and calling cadence
All 3 rigs in house will be pulled out onto the apron
All 3 rigs will be dressed in bunting on the grills
Along the procession route (including supporting companies attending)
All personnel not in a Class A or B uniform will be in their turnout coats (closed) and helmets
All personnel will stand at attention as the procession approaches and be brought to “Present Arms” to salute the hearse as it passes – once the hearse passes the detail will be brought to – “Order Arms” and remain at attention until the procession is past – then be directed to “Fallout”.
Communications – All those in attendance and supporting companies
Communications will be open on – Berks Disaster/Disaster South 1
The communications channel will be available from 1100hrs to 1400hrs
The IC will establish Command at 1100hrs
The primary channel established will be the only channel used during the operation – Please do not attempt to contact the IC on BerksFire A or B as they will not be scanning other channels
Deputy 66-2, Chief Murray, will have Command (IC) – anyone hailing Command will be attempting to call Chief Murray
Deputy 66-1, Chief LaFaver, will be in charge of logistics (Operations Command) – responsibilities for OC – placement of those supporting companies lining the procession route and communicating the processions movement – anyone hailing Operations will be attempting to call Chief LaFaver
Graveside Services
All those wishing to attend the graveside services are welcome
If you choose to line the procession route – we will be honored to have as many of possible as we can to fill the route – it would be a great way to honor Gauker
If you are lining the route – please don’t try to attend the graveside service – the service will not be delayed waiting on companies to arrive
Wake/Celebration of Life
All are invited to the Temple Social Quarters after the services for refreshments, lunch and readings from our membership in remembrance of our fallen brother
